Rainy Day Events

The rain is starting to come down in the Super Burbs and it got me thinking... rain gets a bad reputation around these parts, particularly when it comes to hosting events. Don't get me wrong, a beautiful, humidity free day is what we all wish for on our wedding day - but sometimes a rainy day adds the perfect touch to an intimate wedding. Don't believe me? Well I have proof (of course).

I am so in love with the image from Christian Oth below. SO Romantic
How cute are those boots? And even cuter when they double as a pot for flowers!

Rain = a perfect excuse for some adorable props!

This wedding is just perfection. The rain actually made it even more romantic!

It's all what you make of it right? So pull out the fun boots and umbrellas and get ready for some fab photo opportunities!

Did it rain on your wedding day? Any words of wisdom for rainy day brides to be?

So pretty! I like the pic of the rain boots...I am buying some like these in a few days but they have polka dots on them!

Agree about the props - there's always a silver lining to a rainy day :)

There is something so romantic about a rainy wedding. You can't change it so best to use it to your creative advantage!

It sure did, but thankfully five minutes after our outdoor ceremony ended and we were back in the cars. There is a very funny picture of us looking heavenward as the thunder claps roared, just as the minister said "if anyone objects to this marriage..." Ten years and two kids later, no harm done :-)

Beautiful post! Originally hailing from Seattle, we are used to rainy events. But there's something so sweet and romantic about them!
