Wedding Recap: The Inspiration Board

Ready for a day of detail breakdown? {how fun does that sound?} I thought for this Wedding Wednesday I would unveil some of the details of our wedding throughout the day.  First up, the inspiration behind it all. Because we must start at the beginning. A big source of inspiration was the location. I called the Ocean House the day after Mr. C proposed. It was not even fully built yet. Our first walk through we wore hard hats and walked through walls. People thought we were crazy for booking a place that wasn't even functioning, but I knew it was the only place we should get married. I'm so glad I stuck to my guns.

As far as decor goes, I was going for Seaside Chic or at least that is what I named my vision.  Although I am a huge fan of beachy or nautical weddings, I wanted something a bit different, a bit more chic for our wedding. So, I pulled together this board to help guide the planning process. It's funny to look at it now after all is said and done.

What do you think? Stay tuned throughout the day - I'm going to go through all the little details and even better, show you where to buy said details! It's going to be a good day.

* please note, I made this board prior to even having a blog - so please forgive the lack of crediting this one time, I have NO idea where all these images came from...

I think you nailed it. You are quite brave to book a place that was not complete! I will say it again, the adirondack chair a guest book...GENIUS!

I seriously loved our palette. And, you're def not crazy for booking a place that wasn't even built yet. We have a venue in town where several brides did the same thing a year or so ago! When you know what you want, well, then you know what you want!

Beautiful!

I did the exact same thing for the Ocean House! I was married three weeks after you! I just knew that was where I was going to get married!

It is amazing how well you turned your inspiration into a reality! Although the real thing was even more spectacular!
