There is a super lovely wedding on Style Me Pretty right now, and I just couldn't help but post this fun image which is so relevant to the Super Burbs today (and you know I love chalkboards)...

Spring Sunshine
Mr. C and I spent the day yesterday making sure water didn't get into our basement and spent the night literally moving water out of our friend's basement. We thought Super Burbs were going to float away, but this morning the rain stopped! There is hope!
After all of that, I needed some spring inspiration. So I thought I would share this Easter Party Inspiration from Innove Events. It puts me in a happy place...

Photo Runner
Tell me this isn't an amazing idea for any wedding event? Showers, rehearsal dinners, etc. would be that much better with this conversation piece table runner. It was designed by Hatch Creative Studio for the Urban Wed Event organized by Brooklyn Bride. Love it.

Tuesday Shoesday
The weatherman is promising a weekend of sunshine and warmth, and after this record breaking rain the last few days I couldn't be more ready. So it seems appropriate to feature my all time favorite summer shoe this Tuesday Shoesday - Jack Rogers. Because nothing says summer like Jack Rogers, and these new versions of the classic do not disappoint!
{Jack Rogers}
Check out the other lovely Tuesday Shoesday ladies -Swatchbook Weddings, Gwyneth Paige, Landlocked Bride, Simply & Forever and Meant To Be Sent - for their sure-to-be-amazing picks!
Happy Tuesday indeed!

"I'm going to be a princess"
If you haven't checked out the Vanity Fair feature on Grace Kelly, you need to do so immediately. This completely made my day.
Since I was a little girl, I've had such admiration for Grace Kelly. Perhaps it's the way my mother talked about her and held her up as an example of what a lady should be (side note: my mother also said I was going to marry Prince William - high expectations). Grace and I were both the third in a family of four. Both of us have/had one brother and two sisters. That's about where the similarities end, but boy do I like to pretend we have more :)

Vintage Photo Contest
I am sure each and everyone of you spends countless hours on the Sartorialist in a given week. It's such a fabulous source of inspiration. However, I do believe the Vintage Photo Contest currently on the blog was meant just for me. Right Scott Schuman?

Happy Weekend
I hope each and everyone one of you has an absolutely fabulous weekend full of everything you could possible want. Even if it is an OUTDOOR SHOWER (hint, hint Mr. C).

Honey Learn To Do List
Last weekend we invaded our next door neighbors basketball court along with our hilarious house guests (embarrassing story since we are no longer 5). As Mr. C showed me his layup skills, I happened to notice our lovely neighbors had one of my favorite things in the whole world in their back yard...
An OUTDOOR SHOWER. Yes, in all caps. Guess what that means for Mr. C? Endless "hints" left around the house about how great it would be to have an OUTDOOR SHOWER at our house too...

Call Me
I want an excuse for business cards. It would just be another way to abuse my stationery addiction. Last night, just for fun, I started to think about what my imaginary Super Burb business card would say & what it would look like (yes, that is my version of fun - commence judging).
One thing is for certain, there would be an ampersand. This is what I think I would have it say:

I have this dream (mind you, my dreams are often quite different from other people's) for a wet bar in my living room. This probably comes as no surprise to any of you. But I don't want just any old wet bar, I want it to be from an old card catalog.
I am on a mission to find the perfect one. Some are too short, some are too light - I need one that is juuuusst right. This mission has lasted over 2 years...

I have a strong desire for a turquoise chandelier somewhere in my house. I know just where it would go. It will happen - just you watch Mr. C...

Shuffle
You might not know this - but I love to run. I have the stress fractures to prove it.
If my body would allow me, I would run a half marathon everyday. Not necessarily for the health benefits (sorry mom), but for the all of the things my mind is able to sort through during each and every run. I swear, each important thought, idea and life decision has come to me on my morning therapy session some people refer to as running. This very blog came to me on mile 7 (that's always a good mile). When I'm not running...well, my brain likes to take time off (sorry dad).
Today it poured on my run. A downpour of chilly, spring rain. It was delightful. So instead of turning on one of my many pre-planned playlists (I have a music problem) - I turned my iPod on shuffle. It seemed like a shuffle kind of day, and I want to share with you what the iPod gods decided to play because it was perfect:
Two of Us - Beatles
Telephone - Lady Gaga/ Beyonce
Chicago - Sufjan Stevens
Easy Silence - The Dixie Chicks
That's Life - Frank Sinatra
Chasing Paper - Rhianna
One Love - Bob Marley
If you want to sing out - Cat Stevens
Shipping up to Boston - Drop Kick Murphy's
Strawberry Wine - Deana Carter
White Christmas - Bing Crosby (very random, yet still good)
Summer of 69 - Bryan Adams
Italian Restaurant - Billy Joel
Magical Mystery Tour - Tufts Beezlebubs
Tenuousness - Andrew Bird
Will it Grow - Jakob Dylan
I love random music selections. And random blog posts.

House Tour
Emerson Made is absolutely amazing - spunky, creative, beautiful and unique. Whenever I meet creative people, the first thing I always wonder is what their house looks like. Same thing happens online. That's why I was so excited when Design Sponge featured Emerson Made's amazing abode.
It's just as I imagined.

Go Big Orange
March Madness has taken over my house and life. It's all basketball all the time. In effort to fully embrace what is happening to me this weekend I figured if you can't beat them, join them. Keeping with the March Madness theme, last night my Tennessee Volunteers pulled off a close game against SDSU, and as I was watching the game (WAY past my bedtime) all I could think about was how unique an orange color palette would be for a wedding.
I am quite sure I was the only one at that game thinking about this.

The Orignial Super Burbs
I love Mad Men.
I love the depth of the characters. I love the portrayal of life in that time period. I love seeing fellow Super Burbs in their glory days. I love the amazing style. I love the look into the advertising world at it's earlier stages. I love Don & Betty Draper. Love.

This show needs to come back into my life now. As do men dressing in suits.
