I am so anxious for next week to start because the lovely Leila Brewster is on the east coast right now, which means I get to see her awesome face again. TRUE Event & The Knot Best of Weddings!

Downtime.

What a whirlwind weekend. We are finally home in the burbs after driving all over tarnation.  We are attempting to get a million things done, but finding we have energy for little else other than some much needed couch time. So instead of feeling like I'm getting behind on everything, I've decided to try and embrace it. I feel like some down time is more than needed.

Monday's Musings + TRUE Event News

Today has been, well, frigid. Glamorous would not be the word in which I would qualify today. Not at all. We had our boiler replaced (2 years ago I didn't even know what a boiler was - oh the joys of home ownership)...that means no heat ALL day. The weatherman just told me that today was the coldest afternoon of the year...scheduling fail. You should see the layers I have on right now - I am even forcing Otto to sit with me for extra heat. Low point.

Regardless of the less than glamorous day, there are exciting things brewing over here! The lovely Sarah True and I are in the midst of launching TRUE Event's new website - and boy will it be a beauty. In the meantime, we have a lovely little temporary blog (check it out here!) to keep everyone in the loop until the really pretty one comes to fruition. What's even better? This week on the blog we are recapping some of TRUE Event's absolutely stunning real weddings of 2010...Yep, you know that will be fun. Get ready to log into your pinterest accounts and pin away!

Snow Dance

Thanks to the snow, it looks like I'll finally be able to catch up on life today. It also just so happens to be wedding Wednesday on Style Me Pretty {a day where 7 (!) weddings are featured} so who wants to bet I'll spend most of my day stalking gorgeous images instead of answering emails? You know me too well.

Regardless, I am thankful for this adult snow day...looks like our snow dance worked.

Catch up

Hi loves...I was a bit under the weather last week which ultimately leads to having to play a lot of catch up this week. Please forgive if things are a bit quiet in the Super Burbs. I am hoping that the snow storm coming our way on Wednesday drops at least a foot so I have an entire day to not leave the house and get our lives back in order. And not move from underneath the blanket.

SMP Best of 2010 Digital Magazine

Well, there is honored and then there is HONORED. And well, I am the latter. The first ever Style Me Pretty Digital Magazine launched today and our little ol' wedding was included. Yep, you heard that right - in the best of SMP. I can barely believe it.

You will want to block off a good chunk of time to get lost in this beauty, believe me. Perhaps even leave work early, or maybe just close your office door and pretend you are on a conference call - because there is a whole lot of pretty in this magazine!  {and of course, check out pages 64-68 if you just happen to want to see our wedding in the spotlight}

Why hello 2011.

Well 2010 was, in a word, eventful. Very. Ups and downs and all arounds. It's definitely one for the books. I am not one for resolutions so to speak, but I love a good challenge so I say bring it 2011. I am ready for ya, and I think this letterpress print sums up my outlook for the coming year. Mostly the kazoo part.
