Tuesday Shoesday

The minute I saw these pretties on pinterest, I knew they needed their time in the Tuesday Shoesday spotlight. So beautiful pair of sparkly shoes - it's your time to shine.

Wrapped up in a Bow

If there was one thing I could bring back from the 80's, it would be the bow. Of course, it would need to be the bow that is scaled down a bit and minus the bad fabrics. But you get the idea - when placed correctly, the bow is good for the soul. Well, much to my excitement - it looks like the bow is making a comeback. I do believe that is cause for a celebration!

P.S. I really want to be able to pull of that whole "huge bow on my head" thing, but don't think I really could. I am absolutely in love with anyone that can.

New York, New York

Well, TRUE Event's first wedding of the season is this weekend in NYC, and I am packing my bags as we speak (or I should be) to help bring the darling bride's vision to life. The Volvos (Sarah and I have very similar cars) are packed to the brim with details ready to bring the inspiration to reality. I love this part. As I procrastinate to say goodbye to Otto (it's sooo hard to leave his cute face), I found myself playing on SMP's board builder dreaming up my perfect, modern, crisp, clean NYC affair. I have a feeling my dreams might come true this weekend.

Tuesday Shoesday

Another week, another Tuesday Shoesday with an image I just love. Maybe it's the bed, maybe it's the books, but I think the boots are what really make me love this picture. A little unexpected but oh so right.

Happy Spring!

Dear Spring, you are a tad bit late to the party. It's currently snowing/sleeting outside my window, but I refuse to believe that is true. For the calendar says it's spring, and I am going to just pretend it is actually sunny and spring-like outside. Today I shall dream of sun dresses and flip flops even though I am wearing 5 layers. Is it nice where you are? May I come visit?

My Irish Eyes are Smilin'

I may have a Italian last name now (thanks to Mr.C), but I will always be Irish through and through. In honor of all the little smilin' Irish eyes out there - here's a little Irish inspiration with a hint of blue.

Happy St. Patty's Day Everyone!

For Japan with Love.

Plain and simple, the situation in Japan literally stopped me in my tracks. It's shocking, it's terrifying and it's heartbreaking. If you are anything like me, you feel helpless - wanting so much to do something to help, but not sure exactly what to do. That's why when my dear friends Lydia of Ever Ours and Lucy from Utterly Engaged asked me to join forces with fellow bloggers to raise awareness about For Japan with Love, I jumped.

Any contribution is a huge contribution. Donations go to help provide emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies to the people affected by this horrible situation. Spread the word.

A Simple Sunday

Ahhh ...day 2 of the sun showing it's pretty face for all to see in New England. I plan on going for a long run, getting a bit of work done and then Mr. C, the little hooligan (Otto) and I are making the trek to see my gallivanting grandparents before they head back to VT. I always feel like time slows down when I am up there and what better day to slow things down a bit than on daylight savings.

Here's to simple Sundays where time stands still...

Happy Weekend!

Hi lovelies. Hope you have pretty plans for the weekend ahead. I am working for most of it, but the sun is shining and the birds are singing so life is good. What are you plans?

A Modern, Blunt Brunch

I wanted to post this blunt brunch from Grey Like Weddings so badly last week and never got around to it. Well better late than never right? Because this is just amazing. I would straight up die with excitement if I was invited to this very blunt brunch. It's hilarious, it's clever and it's brass tax at its best.

Love, thanks and backdrops.

Kids, y'all really know how to be fabulous. Here I am neglecting the 'burbs and you keep on keeping on with the love and comments. Seriously, each comment and visit still makes me jump for joy {that's lots of jumping - which will hopefully pay off when it's time for bathing suit season}. I don't know what I did to get so lucky, but I am thankful.

While I have you here, I am on a mad hunt for different ways to jazz up {inexpensively} a boring ballroom for an non-profit event coming up {more to come on that subject later}. I'm looking for a something in silver or beige or really just understated. Here is a little round up from my search - feel free to pass along other fabulous finds!

Happy Weekend {+Friday Favs!}

Oh me, I feel like have been neglecting the 'burbs a bit. I am going to blame it on the weather because that is the New England thing to do. So just go with me on this one. In all reality life has been busy with pretty things, so no complaints whatsoever. As long as you lovelies hang in there with me I am AOK. Now let's get into the things that made me jump out of my seat this week {folks, this actually happens - Otto the dog thinks I am certifiable}.

I was completely honored to write the SMP post for the darling Mrs. Sparkle & Hay. I was even more honored to be there the day she said yes to her Mr. to help TRUE Event bring her day to life. I need to tell a story about that day - the minute I laid eyes on these flowers from Hana Floral Design my heart did cartwheels. Legit cartwheels. Love.

Major cutefest alert. Love, love, love these Pie Pops from Cakewalk Desserts spotted on the Wedding Chicks. Mark my word, I will find a reason to use these in the near future. $27 per dozen = so worth it.

These beautiful images spotted on Oh Joy! by 18 year old photographer Valerie Chiang sang to my soul. This is my heaven.

Tuesday Shoesday

Oops...I realize it's Wednesday but I spotted these beauties yesterday while suffering from serious stripe obsession (does that ever happen to you? I couldn't get stripes out of my mind) and just didn't find a time to post. So here you go, the perfect spring errand shoe - If you run errands in absolute style that is (and we all do that, riiiggghht?).
